Ingredient Benefits

More than an all-natural mineral makeup, our products are effectively a form of skincare. No fillers, no parabens, no irritants, no perfume or synthetics. Our suite of proactive skincare ingredients means every application will benefit your skin.

Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit. Boasting many benefits, Shea Butter is a prized skincare inclusion. Rich in a range of fatty acids, antioxidants and Vitamins A, E and F that are known to help to nourish and hydrate skin, it also has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.

Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract. Its antibacterial properties see it frequently used as a preservative, but it also has other benefits for the skin. Rich in Vitamin C, E, Polyphenols and Flavonoids, ingredients which are known to both help protect and repair damaged skin cells.

Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax. Carnauba wax comes from the leaves of the Carnauba Tree, known as “The Tree of Life” and which is native to Brazil. It helps moisturise and soften skin, while also forming a protective layer on the skin's surface, which helps to retain moisture in the skin. Non blocking, it imparts a degree of glossiness and thus radiance to the skin.

Mica. A cosmetic grade mica powder makes an ideal natural colourant in cosmetics. It comes in a vast and stunning range of colours with reflective properties, which allows for a shimmery effect, from quite subtle to very strong. It can be safely used in foundations, bronzers, lipsticks and eyeshadows. The benefit of having some mica in a foundation enables the product to look less 'flat' and dull on the skin, and impart a natural radiance.

Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil. Its texture is so similar to the sebum or oil that human skin produces, that it absorbs beautifully without clogging or leaving a heavy and oily feeling. Not just for dry skin, it can be used on oily and sensitive skins as it is non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic. Benefits of using jojoba come from its having antibacterial, soothing and moisturising properties, and being being rich in vitamin E to support skin regeneration and wound healing. An excellent emollient in skincare jojoba also gives a degree of slip to our foundations for fast and easy application.

Tocopherol (Vitamin E) While it helps to moisturise the skin, it has strong antioxidant properties, which supports the prevention of premature signs of ageing.

Zinc. A multi-tasking ingredient, Zinc has so many benefits it is one of our favourites. It is well known as being essential for our health and as an ideal durable sunscreen. Applied topically, its soothing, anti-inflammatory properties make it perfect for various skin conditions and all skin types. (from sensitive babies' skins, to those with sunburn, acne and rosacea)
